Cool FS: 318 / M44 Engine Custom Individual Throttle Bodies (E30M3)

I bought these ITBs from a guy who fabricated them for his M44 318ti a while back but I haven't had the time to install them on my car and so they've been sitting covered in my garage as a future project. However, they aren't being very productive while sitting in the garage and I'm also thinking about selling my 98' 318ti as well so they would be better off with someone else who can actually put them to use.

The prior owner claimed to have gotten around 15hp up top though I cannot confirm these numbers since I've never set them up or dynoed the car. I can be certain that your throttle response will most likely be very good, especially with a lightweight flywheel. This would be a good setup for an all-motor M44 engined car. The likelihood of this setup being used for FI is slim, but I really wouldn't know as that isn't my expertise .

I had bought several small replacement parts in preparation for the installation but haven't used them. I'm not sure if you will need any other parts for the install. The ITBs came with the E30 M3 fuel rail and injectors (haven't tested the injectors) and is fitted with the TPS from an M44. They're being sold as-is and mechanically, the throttle-mechanism opens and closes very smoothly.

    Asking $500 shipped. SOLD.

Here's a ton of pics because everyone loves pics :

Would I need to change the e.c.u? Would it read the new air flow or would i have to change things around? Would I need an M3 MAF or does the standard one work? Ans will it fit an M42? Do u have any pics attached to the engine from the previous owner?

You shouldn't have to change the maf, but those things will always help provided you can tune them. I'm not sure if it will fit an M42, if the intake manifold gaskets are the same for the M42 and M44 than I'd imagine it would fit. I don't have any pics of it installed and I'm not sure if the engine ecu would need to be adjusted--tuning will be beneficial though. Not sure how much adaption the stock computer is capable of, but seeing that the DASC is reliable and successful with sufficient fueling, I can't imagine there would be an issue.

    Hope that helps.

The manifold should just bolt-on, it has a cut-out in the plenum for the brakebooster. You'll need to know what you want to do for fueling and metering air.

I'm still thinking about it, but I'm not sure if it's worth $500? It would be a gamble.

HEY!!! i remember that, you outbid me on it!! lol. anyways, bump for a great setup. this begs to go on a turbo car. I would get it myself if i didn't mod the hell out of the stock on already and not have the spare cash building the damn beast sitting in my garage.

hey didnt you buy this of ebay long time ago

    my
97 TI has two sensors on the throttle bodie
95 TI has one sensor on the throttle bodie the TP-Sensor(throttle position)

the ITB you selling has one sensor looking at the picture and my 95 ti thats a TPsensor
    thats for a m42 obd-1

so if you had a completely stock m42 engine and wanted this part, what other parts do you need for install to be bulletproof and running perfect???

I can't verify that the ITBs work on the M42 as I was told they were used on an M44.
