Hi folks,

I've installed carsoft and INPA successfully (though I have been unable to properly test them as I don't have an interface yet).

Anyway, I tried to continues with the installation of SSS\Progman, as per Randomy's guide:

I am having a problem installing the SSS base 3.1 DVD -
I see the black screen showing "Base DVD installation in process. This will take approx. 5 minutes." along with a command prompt.

The command prompts displays an error stating that the logfile could not be written. I've tried mounting a blank floppy image in A:. Not sure how to get past this. Tried googling around and cant find a solution.

Any help with this would be really appreciated.
By the way, i'm installing on an XP SP3 system (emulated in VMware) - the partent operating system is windows 7 x64 ultimate running on mac bootcamp (I shouldn't think this matters).

Many thanks,

cheffi

What do you mean by fresh VM?
What should I be installing on? XP Sp3 no good?

OK. Right I get that now. You're meant to boot from the base CD - not install an OS. That really wasn't clear in the guide (as much as it is appreciated ;) ) - it's confusing because the first step in the guide states that INPA should be installed - which is done in windows.

Hopefully on the route to success now.

Cheers.
