So I've gone and spent some big bucks on the wonderful microfiber from Ranney at pakshak.com. They really are quality towels. I'm very impressed with them.
But here's the next question: What's the best way to care for the towels? Should I just wash them in the laundry machine with a little Woolite?

That works, fine or you can use regular liquid laundry detergent, with a good rinse, some even rinse twice to make sure all the soap is out.
The most important part of caring for a MF towels is the drying. Use low heat, air tumble, or air dry. High heat will melt the microfiber(you won't end up with a glob of visible plastic) but it is enough to deteriorate the towel and cause swirls, and they will not absorb water as well.

read post #9 for Ranney's advice on washing towels. Worked great for me!

Just to add, place a 1/2 cup to a cup of distilled white vinegar in the rinse cycle.

Right, that's what worked best for me too. (minimal laundry detergent, double rinse cycle if they aren't performing well, distilled white vinegar in the rinse cycle(s), and skip the dryer - just let them air dry).
