When I bought my last BMW (2008), I immediately swapped out the run-flats. I thought it was too harsh a ride. I really like the Michelin Pilot Sport tires that I replaced the OEMs with. More than that, I loved the car profile with the 225/45R18's in the front and the 255/40R18's in the rear.
I just bought a 2018 340i and immediately noticed that it no longer had that great appearance with 225/45 run-flats all around.
My question is - can I replace only the rears with NON-run-flat 255/40R18. How would it affect handling? Do I need to do all four? I know I need to have a spare.
Thanks
