Back to the car. I think it's stupid that they're not going to offer a manual variant. It's also funny how they claim that their gearbox is "derived" from F1 when it's 1/2 the speed of BMW's SMGII and Ferrari is the best in F1.

The F430 is better than any car on this site. I don't care what you have done to your car nothing can compare to an Ferrari F430.

This sounds pretty good too:
"The electronic differential, or E-Diff as Ferrari calls it, comes directly from the company's F1 racing efforts. In a clear case of racing improving the breed, Ferrari adapted this sophisticated hardware for street use. It allows the F430 to benefit from a continuously variable delivery of power between each of the rear wheels based on pedal position, steering angle, yaw rate and individual wheel speed. The E-Diff is particularly helpful in delivering maximum grip when exiting a corner under power, an improvement that Ferrari claims accounts for the 3-second drop in lap times between the 360 Modena and the F430 around the company's Fiorano test track."
Even though I'm strictly against making cars any more "electronic" than they are today, things that improve performance are welcome. Things like iDrive are not.

The F430 is basically the cheaper version of the Enzo.

ummm...it does come with a traditional gated shifter
Obviously the new E-Diff had to be fully integrated with the F1 transmission's control system, but F430s equipped with the classic open gate manual shifter also feature E-Diff technology.

I don't understand that, how would it have a dual-clutch 'box if it's going to use a standard manual?

the car behaves much like its predecessor…only better.

The F1 paddle box uses a double clutch system to smooth out the gear engagement (a serious problem in previous itterations). The traditional manual will have one clutch.
