Besides the one in the Publix shopping center at Old 41 and Barrett Parkway, anyone know a good Mexi joint reasonably near 41 & Barrett?

Since you're too lazy to drive to Nuevo Laredo Cantina, the El Napal across from the Wal-Mart on 41 is not all bad.

I find Los Reyes sub-par...although about to go to the one on Roswell Rd with people.
I like REAL Mexican...not sure of any "safe for whitey" ones in the area though. Otherwise, I'd rather do Tex-Mex bigger chain like On the Border.

I find Los Reyes sub-par...
They're not quite the same as they were 25+ years ago when they first opened, and my family first started going to them, but they're still far better than the chains and Cali-faked, mall rat Tex-Mex joints.
Besides, there are probably as many varieties of Mexican food as there are Mexicans, so to each his own. It's like home cooking; Any given person may think his mom's food is the best thing ever held over a heat source, while most other people will say it doesn't hold a candle to theirs. It's a matter of acquired taste, familiarity and comfort.

Ratio of realness is inversely proportional to ratio of safe-for-whitey-ness. :paranoid:
Silly US & state governments, with their cleanliness standards, and health inspections and stuff... :rolleyes
;)
Otherwise, I'd rather do Tex-Mex bigger chain like On the Border.
Well, there went your credibility! :biglaughb

Just ate at Los Reyos on Chastain tonight. Enchalada Supreme + pitcher of XX amber. They even had a live Mariachi band tonight playing right by our table. It was nice and the prices are good. ($4-15 combos)

I think I'm the only person that hates Los Reyes. Do you drive on Chastain in the evenings? Any chance you have matte black kidney grilles? I've seen you driving around. I have a black E39 w/ AEs. I gave you a thumbs up a couple of weeks ago. :)
- El Rodeo, not on 41/Barrett but down 41 by 41/Jiles. I think best Mexican restaurant, imo.

Well went to the Los Reyes on Roswell Rd...still about the same quality. But the 32oz Dos Equis was $4.95 and the mariachis actually could sing.
I'll give the one on Chastain another try. There is one place off of the Barrett Extension, Laredos...it was pretty good last time I went.
Shockingly, one truly authentic place in Rome (GA) was REALLY clean too. A lot of the bank executives eat there.
