Who sells carbon fiber dash kits for Z3?
I've seen a few people recommend wooddashkits.com
Aaah!!!! Extended Tannin Red, huh?
Dude, your car seems eerily similar to mine : roll hoop retrofit, same interioir, right down to the chrome rings on the instrument pod., same spark plugs...
Say, how's the pulley? Does it make a difference?

Yeah our cars would make a pretty pair. White vs black, both tannin red :) 97 was a good year for the 2.8.
Honestly I didn't notice any difference with the pulley. I only installed the crank pulley since the others were the same diameter as oe, and they might have weighed a bit more. Maybe I should put them all on just to see before I put the torsional dampener back on for good. How's the butt strut? I tested one just recently and humbly have to admit I didn't notice any difference in handling :dunno . I must have done a real good job of tuning those DA Koni's :boobies haha!
I'm starting to migrate to a brushed aluminum interior. Thinking of getting an Alpine cda-9807 head unit and mounting a Kenwood KCA-R70FM controller for a music keg :love1 just above the shifter. The black carbon fiber would make a nice background. I already have a BMW brushed aluminum shift knob and I see that UUC sells a CF brake handle with satin-finish trim. The ideas are finally starting to gell :95 Glad I didn't go with rosewood a couple years ago!

Thanks JoeZ. They seem to have exactly the style I'm looking for. Even have installation videos! Wonder if I can get a sample.
Dave, the ButtStrut made a night and day difference. Not in handling, but in feeling. Much more that the front brace. The car feels tighter, there's less flex and less shaking on bumps and railroad tracks.
But since you added the hoops, you're bound to feel it less, because when I added the hoops (after the ButtStrut), I felt like I added another ButtStrut so to speak. The increase in body stiffness just by adding the hoops is very obvious.
I do not have my username and password for Montypics handy, I got some awesome pics of my interior.
That sucks about the pulley, I wanted one, I'm trying to squeeze out as much HP out of the 2.8 without going FI, and I don't want to spend a fortune either.
Are your seats heated?

The UUC shift knob and matching e-brake in carbon fiber/aluminum are awesome!

Seats are heated. They be great. Like them much more than the standard ones. They came to me 3rd hand so the previous owner already had the seatbelt guides installed. Coupe seats don't come with them. Also they solved the problem I was having with the motor getting stuck in the up position on the originals.
I don't know why I don't a seem to notice the results everyone else does on their performance mods. Except on the Koni's of course. They are the best thing I've done so far. I also did an airbox modification that provides 0 benefits where others have noticed a big diff. Shawn Fogg's airflow test verified this for me. You can find it about half way down the following page: http://ackthud.com/shawnfogg/2_8airbox.htm
If I decide to sell the pulleys I'll let you know. Haven't seen any 2nd hand one's for quite a while. I think everyone decided they were too risky because you need to remove the dampener. I've had it installed for 3 years and the engine is still smooth as silk.
I'd like to see your interior pics if you remember. I'd do the same but I really don't like the color of the wood trim I've got.
Found it, woo-hoo!:alright

It's real, dude. You think I'd put fake shit in MY car? Go look at my car thread in the Bimmer Rides section for plenty of photos of the interior.
